The essence of light is one of the most important things in anyone’s life To fascinate a buildings form or design is a prerequisite of any lighting designer, to this end we at Unilamp believe it our profession to assist in this process. Founded in Thailand in 1993 Unilamp has become the leading manufacturer of outdoor lighting and outdoor lighting applications. Our success has been based on a solid foundation of identifying our clients requirements for sustainability, reliability, design and functionality. We now export to over fifty (50) countries. Our history is reflected with taking the necessary steps to ensure our clients are presented with the best possible product and solution every time. The Unilamp brand is synonymous worldwide with quality and every product that leaves our Factory at Prachinburi in Thailand is manufactured to meet all IEC and TIS standards. Our working system is certified by ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. For the lighting designer all facets of exterior lighting are covered within our range. Our Research and design center allows us to offer the latest in technology. This is not limited to lamp sources or control gear but as usual we take this all through into our manufacturing processes. Our product ranges include Spot Light, Flood Light, Power Projector, Down Light, Wall Light, Step Light, Surface Washer, Bollard, Post-top Light, Area Light, In-ground up-light and Under Water Light. Located in Bangkok with our Head Office and showroom in Ramintra road we are here to help and service our market. Our staff are important to our culture and our team now totals 280 people.
UNILAMP Chronology
| 1993 | The opening of the company. Started with 10M baht (350,000 USD) registered capital. Total staff 40 persons. |
| 1994 | Export to ASAIN countries. Introduced the first outdoor products made from PC and ABS housing. Installed an automatic painting machine. |

| 1999 | Participated at our first international lighting fair in Taiwan. |

The process of our luminaires manufacture combines design and technology together with a blend of software. The very first step of our work begins with design & development process of our engineers to create high quality fixtures.
Utilising 3 Dimensional CAD software initially in the fixture design and product layout.

Mould and Tool making Fabrication
All Moulds and tools are made to exhaustive Unilamp procedures.
Equipped with computerized CNC milling equipment for a precision moulding assists us to achieve high flexibility in mould manufacturing.
Unilamp full process consists of 16 stages
Nano Ceramic surface conversion process optimizes the corrosion resistant property and increases powder coat adhesion.
The chemical concentration in the process is checked daily to ensure that the parameter of every step is fully maintained.
Primary epoxy-resin based coating increases corrosion resistant property on the surface when exposed to severe climatic conditions. The primer is formulated to be used on casting metal substrates such as aluminium alloys.
UV-stabilized Polyester powder coat from Jotun gives a long-lasting colour rendering and combines protective properties with good weather resistance.
High purity De-Ionized water is used in the process.
The laboratory test result shows that our coated aluminium parts have passed 2,000 hours salt spray resistance test (ASTM B 117) and humidity atmospheric resistance test (DIN 50017).
Our product testing is second to none and our clients can be assured that at Unilamp a thorough process of product testing is adhered to, both at our factory and at any of our partners premises. All luminaires that carry the Unilamp trademark fall under our guidelines for manufacture.
Light Measurement
All Unilamp product is measured by the Goniophotometer which gives our clients surety of lighting design and all files are in IES format.
IP rating
Water Jet Testing for ingress of liquid and moisture by water jet equipment.
Dust test for the ingression of harmful dust and solid particles.
Endurance Thermal Test
Test under conditions representing cyclic heating and cooling in service, the fixture shall not become unsafe or fail prematurely.
Electrical Safety Test
Test for the protection against electric shock, insulation resistance and earth continuity.
EMC Test
Test for electromagnetic compatibility which includes harmonic current emissions, voltage fluctuation and insertion loss.
Vacuum Test
Test verifying that there is no leakage on the products.
IK Test
Test for the degree of protection of the lighting fixture against harmful external mechanical impacts.
Salt Spray Test
Test for the degree of corrosion resistance on the fixture’s surface under severe saline environment.
Wind Load Test
Simulation of strength analysis carried out under strong wind environment.
